On July 2nd, our first ever Biodiversity Day at the Islington Climate Centre celebrated Islington’s green spaces, trees, birds and pollinators.
Visitors learnt how to create parklets, plant treepits around existing trees and create perfect gardens to support beleaguered wildlife.
Mike from Islington Swifts talked about how to welcome these wonderful birds, peas were planted, masks made and hollyhock seeds taken home.
Plus, the block printing was back and we were thrilled to see happy faces leaving the centre with their upcycled t-shirts made super lovely with beautiful images of butterflies and birds.
