About the event

This democracy isn’t working. What else could we do?

The Islington Climate Centre is delighted to team up with Transition Highbury for GREEN ON THE SCREEN, our first-ever film night!

We will be showing The People v Climate Change, a surprising and funny documentary by Picture Zero which follows seven members of the UK’s first ever Citizens Assembly on climate change, where 108 ordinary Brits are tasked with deciding how to meet our climate change goals.

Watch the trailer here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09h8cp2

Event schedule:

7.00pm Introduction by Fergus Haycock, Picture Zero, producers of People Vs Climate Change

7.10pm Film starts (63 Mins)

8.15pm Refreshments - vegan bakes and tea

8.30pm Structured discussion/workshop on upgrading our democracy with a panel from Trust the People, XR Citizens Assembly and The Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill.
