Since 2022 the ICC has partnered with Restart Project and Islington Council's Waste Strategy Team to run Islington Fixers - a group of dedicated volunteers who repair electrical items at free sessions in community centres and libraries. In 2025 we helped 117 residents to avoid an estimated 185kg of waste and 1,646kg of CO2 emissions.

In April 2026, we were awarded a grant from NLWA (North London Waste Authority) as part of their NLCF (North London Community Fund) initiative. Read more about the project here. This generous funding will allow us to continue the Islington Fixers in a sustainable way for the foreseeable future.
