About the event
Join us for the Islington Sustainability Fair, 2 – 5pm on the 26th of August at Islington Assembly Hall, N1 2UD – it’s open to the general public and all local organisations. A celebration of businesses promoting good environmental practice in the borough – expect stalls on energy advice & sustainability, fun repair & upcycling activities, food, drink, prizes & much more! Bring along electrical equipment, clothes and toys to repair or upcycle!
It will also include:
– An Electronics Restart Party – bring along electrical items (especially old lamps!) to get mended there & then for free by trained fixers – the Restart Project
– Get involved in a free clothes mending & upcycling workshop – local social enterprise, FC Designer Workspace
– Bring some clothes to be mended -take in garments, turn up jeans, machine hems & other alterations – local charity collective Kundakala
