About the event
Join supportive and friendly teacher Tessa as you learn how to create a colourful weave darn to add new life to your holey knitwear you wish you could wear more.
Please book here.
We all have a jumper with a hole in it, either from wear and tear at the elbows or from those pesky moths. Bring them back into the light, show them some care and get creative with this weave darning class. Extending the life or your clothes through repair is a climate-friendly action.
During this class you will learn about:
* How knitwear is constructed.
* Different types of yarns, and needles for darning.
* How to create a weave darn.
* How to create different shapes and patterns for your darned area.
By the end of this class, you will have all the skills you need to breathe new life into your knitwear at home, and possibly even an item you mended in the class.
Knowledge required
